I am a Hungarian Web development expert and Agile team leader. Originally born as Viktor Nagy, but nicknamed to Mr Bull (Bika in Hungarian). I’ve graduated as an economic researcher, but realised under my PhD that I enjoy codeing much more than I do economics, thus I’ve trained myself a lot to become a seasoned programmer in the open source world. Later on, thanks to my failures and successes, I became a versed agile project manager.
I fell in love with the web at the age of 7, when I’ve first connected to the net over a 14kB modem. I was amazed by the possibility of being connected with others in the other end of the world.
As a grew up, I’ve realised that my real interest is in connecting people, and since then I look at my job as an opportunity to build a team where its members dare to open to each other. I believe in people.
I consider my job as a tool to improve myself both at the mental and emotional levels, and I’m always open to opportunities where I can improve myself more or spread this mentality.
Interests
I’m interested in modern, web oriented projects that help people. Technology wise I’ve tremendous experience is web development (aka. javascript), and I’m a big fan of script-like languages, like Python. I like lightweight technogies in general that allow quick time to market, fast iterations and easy refactoring.
As a team lead I favor of automated testing and continuous deployment, and would like to have tools that allow the team to focus on valuable development.
